About

The HealthySoil4Life Summer School explores the connections between soil health, soil microbiology, regenerative agriculture, climate resilience, and sustainable food systems. Through an interdisciplinary and hands-on approach, participants will gain practical knowledge and develop innovative solutions for the future of food and farming.

• Two-week online programme A dynamic learning journey combining science, innovation, entrepreneurship, and creativity through expert-led lectures, discussions, and collaborative group work. Participants will connect with an international community of like-minded peers, expand their professional network, strengthen career opportunities in the agrifood sector, and explore new ideas for regenerative and impact-driven projects or businesses.

• One immersive onsite week in Penha Garcia, Portugal
Experience sustainability beyond the classroom in the extraordinary landscapes of a UNESCO Geopark. This immersive week combines hands-on learning, field exploration, and meaningful collaboration, connecting participants directly with regenerative practices and real-world innovation. Through farm visits, practical activities, and exchanges with practitioners and changemakers, participants will discover how healthy soils can transform food systems, landscapes, and communities. The programme includes visits to pioneering initiatives such as Real Idanha, a regenerative and organic olive grove, and Herdade do Vale Feitoso, a large-scale example of integrated sustainable forestry, organic olive oil production, and extensive grazing systems. More than a field experience, this is an opportunity to connect with nature, exchange perspectives with an international community, and co-create solutions for a more resilient and regenerative future.
