Heidelberg Health Economics Summer School 2025 – HTA in Theory & Practice [Core Module]

About

The HEIDELBERG HEALTH ECONOMICS SUMMER SCHOOL 2025 will offer again an unsurpassed opportunity to meet leading experts in health policy and economics, and to discuss with them about key challenges and potential solutions in the context of (health) economic evaluation for use of health technology assessments (HTAs) to inform patient access, pricing, and reimbursement decisions including implications for research and development (R&D).

"EU Joint Clinical Assessments (JCAs) & National Health Economic Evaluations:
Improving Fair Patient Access to Effective Treatment?"

The CORE MODULE will be dedicated to most recent scientific contributions and developments in the world of HTAs, addressing areas such as the gaps between theory and practice, stakeholder expectations, better integration in the evaluation paradigm of the perspectives of citizens and patients, the links between JCAs in the EU and economic evaluation, precision medicine, orphan & ultra-orphan drugs, cancer combination therapies, and recent developments in HTAs of diagnostics and medical devices.

[As in previous years, the Summer School 2025 program will comprise two modules (Intro & Core), which can be booked separately or in combination.]
