It combines the unique location in The Hague, the international City of Peace and Justice, with the academic expertise of Leiden Law School.
Students will be immersed in the field through lectures and exercises dealing with all aspects of International Criminal Law, from substantive crimes (genocide, crimes against humanity, war crimes and aggression) to complementarity, modes of liability, the rights of the accused and the role of victims. Throughout the two weeks, the participants will explore the City of Peace and Justice and will visit a number of international institutions, such as the International Criminal Court.
This course offers a unique opportunity to learn from influential and well-known academics from Leiden University and practitioners from the International Courts and Tribunals in The Hague. You will gain first-hand knowledge on international criminal law in the heart of the International City of Peace and Justice.
