Mediation and Negotiation are increasingly recognized as the processes of choice for international parties to manage and resolve disputes. Mediation and Negotiation Skills are, therefore, core competencies for establishing a legal career.

To become successful practitioners, the lawyers of the future must also become true dispute professionals. Dispute professionals, who can not only help resolve disputes consensually but who are trained in advising their clients on how to best approach and manage a given dispute. Professionals who can guide them through complex dispute resolution choices and strategy development from choosing the best way to handle complex differences to reaching a win-win solution.

The International Dispute Professional Academy (IDPA) is an intense, international and hands-on 40-hours Mediation, Negotiation and Dispute Management training that will equip participants with the knowledge and skills to become successful dispute professionals and create international careers.
The Academy is taught by leading international practitioners from some of the most prominent law firms, multi-national companies and academic institutions and will include special career panels as well as private career Q&A sessions with leading experts.

Successful participants receive a 40-hour Dispute Professional Certification by Negotiation Academy, Singapore International Dispute Resolution Academy (SIDRA) and Singapore Management University (SMU).
Participants will additionally have the chance to apply for IMI certification as a mediation advocate within 2 years.
