International Relations

About

Do you consider working in international affairs in the future and would like to learn about it? Then come and join us at GSD for a one week program from Monday 16 to Friday 20 July 2018, and experience the life of a diplomat at the United Nations in Geneva. The objective of the summer school is to offer students short courses on relevant topics in international relations taught by leading experts in the field.

The individual courses will take place in two 1.5 hour sessions per day during one week from 09h30 to 12h30. In the afternoons, theory will be put into practice thanks to various visits and briefings at diplomatic missions, United Nations agencies and international development organizations.

Target group

The Summer School, taught in English, is designed for (international) students from 15 to 20 years old who are interested in pursuing undergraduate studies in areas of political science, international relations and the political economy.

Course aim

The program will give students the opportunity to experience how global affairs are managed on a daily basis, meet with students from all over the world and make contacts for future internships and career opportunities.
