Wells Cathedral School – International Wind, Brass and Percussion Summer School

Our world-class tutors will nurture young musicians (aged 10-18) to develop their skills and confidence by exploring a range of exciting musical styles.
This course isn’t suitable for complete beginners – you will need a basic ability to play your instrument and read music. During the week, you will receive masterclasses, chamber music, mixed ensembles, workshops and a one hour daily choir session. You’ll have multiple opportunities to perform regardless of your skill level, but the highlight will be the end of the week concert on Saturday that is open to family and friends.
Whilst we encourage everyone to take part in all performances and activities, we will not force anyone to participate if they don’t want to do so for whatever reason. However, we hope our friendly and accepting community will lead all musicians to take part, even if it is slightly outside of their normal comfort zone!
