People are the key resources in organisations and good leadership may help to mobilise, guide and inspire their actions. Leadership is about lifting people’s vision to high goals, raising their own performance and their contribution to organisational performance.
This course provides students with knowledge on how people behave in organisations and the role of leadership in contemporary organisations. The course offers an interdisciplinary perspective and provides students with insights into international state-of –the-art theories of organisational behaviour and leadership, and practical cases and examples of Swedish and international firms. The students will also be encouraged to reflect on their own behaviours and prerequisites for becoming a leader. The course is organised in lectures, seminars, case studies, readings and student presentations.
Dag Swartling
