"Education is the passport to the future,
for tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for it today
The Augsburg International Summer School shows participants key aspects of intercultural teaching and learning within a manageable time frame and through personal contacts with students and lecturers from Augsburg and abroad on a subject-specific and interdisciplinary level. The students explore relevant scientific issues for their profession as teachers that go beyond their own national and subject boundaries.
The Augsburg Summer School 2026 will focus on the topic of βTeaching for the futureβ. It is aimed specifically at future teachers who want to engage early on with the requirements and design options of future-oriented school education.
After a keynote speech about the topic for introduction the Summer School will be structured around a series of parallel discipline-specific panels culminating in a shared discussion session. In exercise phases the students will find different theoretical and methodological approaches through cooperation and learn to critically examine and reflect on the consequences of disciplinary and interdisciplinary teaching for the future. The Summer School also offers time for social activities that fosters intercultural exchange between the students from different countries and educational systems.
The detailed programme for the Augsburg International Sommerschool 2026 can be found on: https://uni-a.de/to/aleap-summerschool/. The programme is a collaboration between the University of Augsburg and the partner universities of the A.LEAP project.
