This short course will be delivered by the Royal
Conservatoire’s Management and Technology
Lecturers and visiting guest specialists in our
industry-standard design and production workshops at Speirs Locks Studios.

You will also experience working in both a studio
theatre setting as well as in a traditional proscenium arch theatre.

Week one will consist of practical workshops and
teaching in all areas of management and technology, including lighting and sound for performance.

Students will be set mini projects throughout the
week to apply this new knowledge in a practical and meaningful way.

The second week involves working together with
design students and performers on a semi-produced collaborative project. This is an opportunity for you to practice your specialist learning and knowledge as a team and in a more holistic and authentic way.

This summer school will culminate in a tangible
outcome in the form of a presentation on the final
day of the short course. This may provide you
with evidence for portfolio building as well as an
opportunity to present your creative work to others.

The summer school will provide a fun, supportive
and challenging environment in which all students, from beginners to advanced, can explore and learn.

Please see our website for a full course outline.
