Strategic Management examines one of the most pressing issues in business: why do some firms consistently outperform others, and what can leaders do to shape these outcomes?
This course equips students with the mindset and tools of a general manager, enabling them to think holistically about organizations and the industries in which they operate. Students will explore how to design, implement, and adapt strategies that not only generate short-term results but also secure long-term competitive advantage.
Emphasis is placed on analyzing both the internal strengths and weaknesses of an organization and the external forces β technological, economic, competitive, and regulatory β that define its environment. Case studies, simulations, and group discussions will help participants sharpen their ability to make sound strategic decisions under conditions of complexity and uncertainty. By the end of the course, students will be prepared to evaluate strategic alternatives, craft coherent action plans, and lead organizations through change with a clear, forward-looking vision.
