This course is intended for medical employees and medical students who want to improve their general German skills with a special focus on communication in a medical environment and the usage of medical terminology. Course contents will include medical case studies and simulations, medical evidence terminology, hospital experience, intercultural communication, doctor-patient talks as well as the discussion of patient treatments. The morning course consists of a total of 72 (18 x 4) hours. The lessons can be complemented by daily practise at the Language Lab and by attending an exercise course in the afternoons. Day trips to the Black Forest and the Alsace Region of France are offered in addition to a varied program in and around Freiburg, organized by our dedicated student tutors.

Course leader

All our German language teachers are highly qualified and experienced native speakers.

Target group

This course requires a good to very good knowledge of German with a language level of B2 and higher.
