About

The topic of the debate: “Climate Change and Current Geopolitical Scenario”

The Model EU is composed of an intensive course delivered by the Eastwest European Institute in partnership with Associazione Diplomatici, and the simulation of the European decision-making process in Brussels conducted by eastwest ONLUS.

By taking on the role of a member of the Parliament and ministers of the Council of the European Union, participants will build a network with other students with a strong awareness of European values and learn more about the functioning of the main European institutions, thanks to direct experience of the ordinary EU legislative procedure through the learning-by-doing method.

The course consists of:

- Online intensive course*: May 2023
- Model EU Conference in Brussels – Simulation: 05 – 07 June 2023 organized by eastwest ONLUS

On June 5 and June 6, the simulation will take place at the European Committee of the Regions.

Target group

University students, recent graduates, and young professionals with the most varied and multicultural backgrounds are invited to rethink the concept of Europe by proposing and discussing their ideas and solutions to current issues.

Course aim

The project's main goal is to make participants learn more about the functioning of the central European institutions thanks to direct experience of the ordinary EU legislative procedure with the learning-by-doing method, through a three-day-long simulation.
