This one-week summer school is dedicated to molecular and nanoscale chirality, combining fundamental knowledge, cutting-edge research presentations and an interdisciplinary approach. The programme is designed for Master and doctoral students, post-doctoral fellows and young researchers in chemistry and materials science.
Participants will follow a scientific programme delivered entirely in English, built around advanced topics in molecular chirality, nanostructures and chiral spectroscopy. The summer school features internationally recognised experts, including a strong representation of Bordeaux-based researchers
The summer school is designed for second-year Master students (M2), doctoral students, post-doctoral fellows and young researchers from chemistry and materials science.
Classes are conducted in English. Candidates should have a B2 level of English or equivalent.
In order to apply, candidates must provide a CV, a cover letter detailing their scientific interest in attending the summer school, and a letter of recommendation from their supervisor (required only for Masterβs 2 and PhD candidates)
The summer school integrates several active learning approaches.
Participants will take part in hands-on laboratory sessions delivered with academic and industrial partners. They will also present their own work through flash talks and posters, providing opportunities for detailed feedback and discussion, including any challenges encountered in their research.
List of the courses delivered:
- General introduction on chirality (E. Hillard)
- Synthesis (S. Bellemin-Laponnaz)
- Supramolecular chirality (R. Oda and Y. Ferrand)
- Chiral spectroscopies (F. RiobΓ© and M. Atzori)
- Chiroptical property prediction (B. le Guennic)
