Course aim

Summary
The area of β€œOmics in early life” offers a wealth of fascinating and impactful topics, uncovering how early-life molecular mechanisms shape adult health and influence the trajectory of healthy longevity.
The 6th European Summer School on Nutrigenomics will advance scientific knowledge for improving early-life healthcare and develop actionable strategies for promoting lifelong well-being.

Within this area, the following topics will be explored:
1. Transcriptomics in Brain Development: Investigating RNA expression changes in neural tissues during critical periods of brain growth and their implications for neurodevelopmental disorders.
2. Epigenomics in Developmental Origins of Health and Disease: Examining how early-life environmental exposures (e.g., diet, stress, toxins) shape epigenetic modifications and influence gene expression throughout life.
3. Microbiomics and Gut Health: Investigating the establishment of the microbiome during infancy and its impact on immune system development, metabolism, and long-term health.
4. Metabolomics and lipidomics in Neonatal Nutrition: Studying the metabolic and lipid profiles and their connections to growth, cognitive development, and disease prevention
