This course is a part of a 5-day PhD Summer School programme.

What PhD students have to know and what they have to be aware of when they publish in open access model and make their scientific output in line with Open Science requirements. Topics will cover, for instance: money issues, predatory journals and their illegal business model, main open access roads (e.g. green, gold, diamond), open access policies or changes in scholarly publishing among Plan S. This training session will give you an overview of the academic publication cycle and scholarly communication practices such as journal choice and editorial process, bibliometrics indicators and promoting scientific achievements.
