The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland has wonderful training and performance facilities for piano summer school students. A fleet of new pianos, wonderful concert venues and a new, state of the art recording studio combine to make this an attractive and inspiring summer school.

Throughout these intensive study courses you will supported by a team of distinguished performers and experienced teachers.

You will be able to shape your summer school to your individual requirements with ample opportunities for practicing and for performance.

During this intensive study, you will have three individual piano lessons with the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland piano teachers and visiting artists.

You will take part in daily masterclasses where you will have the opportunity to perform and work intensively on your repertoire.

Workshops on piano technique and performance practice will be complemented by specialist sessions devoted to the art of improvisation, (given by Norman Beedie, an expert in this field and former pupil of the great Nadia Boulanger), of studio recording and the process of making professional recordings as well as the origins and styles of dance music. Experts in these particular specialisms will provide students with practical experience in common dance forms and how these relate to the stylised dance forms adopted by composers.
