This year’s summer school will focus on primary cell isolation and propagation for tissue engineering. The program will include class lectures and hands on courses in the lab targeting different raw materials like the amniotic membrane, adipose tissue, cartilage and umbilical cord for conversion or reprogramming into and/or propagation of valuable cellular material. We will accumulate information about the isolation of such material, the demands and challenges of propagation and finally the analytical evaluation of the proliferated cells. There will also be plenty of time for fruitful discussions with the lecturers and participants and several social events for networking.
Susanne Wolbank
Qualified master students as well as MScs, PhD/doctoral students and human or veterinarian medical doctors are invited to apply. We accept the application of postdocs.
After successful completion of this course the students will be able to discuss the application of primary cells from different origins for tissue engineering. They will be able to apply several isolation techniques, know how to choose cultivation techniques for the respective tissues and how to analyse the proliferated cells.
Fee
250 EUR, The fee includes tuition and social events during the course. Accommodation and meals must be organized individually.
