About

Designed for French and international students pursuing studies in engineering and innovation in
the broadest sense, this Summer School immerses its participants in the fundamental challenges
of tomorrow’s AI-assisted innovation.

Its goal is to encourage reflection, exchange and collaboration between French and international
students from all backgrounds on the contribution of themes linked to innovation, artificial
intelligence, creativity, the development of new products, the management of innovative
activities, innovation strategies and sustainable and responsible development through AI.

This Summer School will not only allow you to discover new approaches and technologies,
but also to attend classes and practical workshops led by renowned experts in their fields.
Cultural visits to companies, laboratories and emblematic locations will complete the training
programme. The Summer School will combine lectures, tutorials and practical sessions in areas such as AI
fundamentals and current trends, innovation basics and current trends, how AI transforms
innovation processes: a global overview, AI-driven innovation, AI case studies in innovative
industries, discovering key AI tools and technologies for innovation processes, AI and creativity:
how AI helps generate new ideas, how AI facilitates the creation of personalised products and
services, AI for rapid prototyping and solution optimisation, AI and new business models, AI and
innovation in scientific research, ethical and responsible AI practices in research and innovation,
practical workshops, conferences, visits to innovative companies, cultural workshops to foster
international exchanges, and a networking evening

Course leader

The aim of this summer school, hosted by the CESI campus in Strasbourg, is to present theoretical and practical approaches to exploring how artificial intelligence (AI), as a new key driver of evolution, can become a real catalyst and a new lever for performance in innovation and research

Target group

-French and international students who
are concluding their Bachelor’s Degree
(or equivalent) in engineering and who
wish to enrich their experience in the field
of innovation. Master’s Degree and PhD
students are also eligible. A B1 level in
English is required to attend the training
programme, and good academic
performance in basic scientific subjects
is expected.

Course aim

Take part in a two-week programme in France, from
7 to 18 July, to develop and deepen your knowledge
of innovation:
Learn and study in English in an intercultural environment,
Discover and deepen the approaches, methods and
techniques of intelligent and responsible innovation,
assisted by AI,
Explore new scientific and professional perspectives
on AI-based innovation,
Discover the “French Tech” and the local innovation
ecosystem,
Take part in cultural and technical visits to Strasbourg, the European capital (European institutions,
companies, laboratories, etc.),
Attend conferences on innovation and AI challenges,
Discover Strasbourg, the European capital, and
enjoy a cultural immersion in France

Fee info

The tuition fees cover all participation fees, pedagogical fees and site visites during the Summer School. They do not include accomodation costs, living costs as well as visa and insurance fees.The program fees include: - Lectures and pedagogical documentation- Access to CESI facilities in Strasbourg- Welcome events - Internet access- Official program certificate upon succesful completion of the Summer School - Cultural events - Accomodation can be organised on demand on a first come first serve basis.
