This PhD level course is open to all researchers aiming at bringing their research to the next level. It is particularly designed for those who are working toward collecting their own data or preparing to work with data obtained from others. Participants who have finalized their data collection will benefit as well but will not be able to utilize all the provided tools.
After this course you are able to:
- Identify and diagnose a wide set of measurement problems in social science research
- Identify and create research design solutions to measurement problems
- Identify and apply appropriate strategies for diagnosing and combatting measurement problems
- Argue the severity, direction, and context of specific measurement problems and assess whether they are likely to threaten conclusions of a scientific study.
