Discover the rich history and dynamic transformations of South Asia through an immersive and interdisciplinary summer school program. This course explores the movements of people, ideas, cultural forms, and political practices that have shaped and continue to shape the region's identity and its relations with other parts of the world. From migration and cultural practices to political ideologies and language, delve into the multifaceted nature of South Asia's ongoing evolution.
This summer school offers a unique double focus on the contemporary dynamics of South Asian society, culture, and politics, as well as on the Hindi language. Through a multidisciplinary approach encompassing Hindi studies, history, anthropology, cultural studies, and performative and film studies, you'll analyze diverse movements and changes in South Asia. The program includes lectures, seminars, discussions, film screenings, and cultural activities. Expert scholars will deliver engaging lectures, and you'll have opportunities for group discussions and Q&A sessions. Immerse yourself in South Asian culture through enriching cultural activities in Lithuania.
