Do you want to speak like a native Spaniard? Are you ready to immerse yourself in the most interesting aspects of Spanish culture? If your answer is yes, then this course is perfect for you!

Our course is the best to help you develop your linguistic Spanish skills or to become a real native speaker, as conversation and Spanish culture are perfectly combined for you not only to learn the language but also to experience our culture. Each lesson will introduce essential socio-cultural content in order to help you make progress, especially in the speaking competencies established by the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). Some of the topics that will be addressed for you to get to know the local culture are: Spanish gastronomy (with special attention to Almería), history of cinema in our city, local parties and celebrations, and much more! Besides the academic content, our Study Abroad courses include an attractive cultural program full of cultural activities and trips, especially for you, so you can make the most of your stay in our city and university!

Course aim

1. Progress in the acquisition of the communicative competence

2. Awakening the interest in the knowledge of the people and the villages, and knowing the multiculturalism of the language

3. Acquiring the four competencies in an integrated way

4. Correct the most common mistakes of the Spanish learners when it comes to pronouncing the sounds of the Spanish language.

5. Using the oral and written language oral adequately at the corresponding level according to CEFR

6. Participating dynamically in speeches such as dialogues, interviews, expression of opinions, comments, and others that allow them to develop their oral production.

7. Training the writing skill by means of a series of exercises that can be individual, in groups, inside or outside the classroom

8. Providing the student with the typical characteristics that define our identity through not only daily life aspects but also historical events, great Spanish leading figures, and some works of art

9. Having a good command of the structures for both the comprehension and expression
