The Skills Summer School (SSS, Speaking and Writing Skills for Academic and Career Success) presents a unique chance to develop your skills to raise your university performance and/or advance your career. You will study with world‑class university professors and broaden your horizons in a dynamic, beautiful world city.

The SSS is a two‑week, English‑taught study program centered on the speaking and writing skills students need to master to succeed at university and in their careers. The program welcomes students from worldwide alongside local participants, fostering a truly international environment. It is complemented by social and cultural events and academic field trips.

Target group

Undergraduate students in any field.
Bachelor’s degree graduates may also apply (professionals or graduate students).
A good command of English language (minimum B2 level recommended) is a general requirement for all applicants. No need to supply certificate of English level.

Course aim

A) Introduction

The SSS is a two‑week, English‑taught program where students concentrate on the essential skills required to thrive as university learners and working professionals—active listening, efficient reading, presenting to large audiences, and academic paper writing. Participants will also collaborate in small teams to prepare and deliver a presentation to the full cohort, while strengthening their writing through structured practice.

B) Objectives

Training in public speaking and presentation is designed to equip you to deliver memorable, high‑impact talks. You will learn actionable communication methods and ways to connect authentically with your audience. In particular, the objectives are:

• Develop the knowledge and techniques needed to design and deliver compelling, successful presentations.
• Build the skills to communicate with clarity, efficiency, and fluency to your audience.

Reading effectively and producing high‑quality academic writing are central to the course, enabling you to craft excellent compositions for both academic and professional contexts. You will:

• Gain strategies to process written information efficiently, applying different techniques according to your goals.
• Learn to write formal, coherent, and engaging texts that convey your message clearly and can attract, inform, entertain, or persuade your readers.

In addition to these primary aims, the course also offers a complementary objective: a rich study‑abroad experience. Learning in an international setting fosters exceptional academic, cultural, and personal growth.
