About

St Mary's Music School's Piano Summer School a comprehensive and broad-ranging programme designed for talented pianists aged 13 to 17 who wish to expand their musical abilities.
Up to 100% funding is available towards fees and travel expenses with all applications for financial assistance being warmly welcomed.

This intensive course includes expert tuition, individual coaching, solo performance opportunities, and collaboration with a chamber music coach.

Participants also benefit from workshops in mindfulness, and yoga, providing a holistic introduction to the musical, mental, and physical skills necessary to grow as a pianist. The programme is ideal for those aspiring to study at conservatoire or university, as well as those looking to hone their skills in a supportive and encouraging atmosphere.

The Course is led by acclaimed pianist Helena Buckmayer, supported by Anna Michels and Richard Montgomery. Pianist Philip Sharp will be facilitating a workshop and two performance classes throughout the week.

This is a fully residential course based in the hear of Edinburgh.
