“Straight into Pain – Pain Management Course” for Medical Specialists

“It Does Not Have to Hurt” Foundation has the pleasure of inviting you to “Straight into Pain – pain management course” for Medical Specialists.
It will take place on December 8–12, 2025 in Bialystok, Poland (the largest city in northeastern Poland, home of Esperanto language, which is exceptionally beautiful during Christmas Fair).
During the event, the participants will not only have the opportunity to learn about:
• Practical Foundations of Pain Management
• Practical Principles of Treating: back pain, neuropathic pain, headaches, fibromyalgia, cancer pain
but also get to know their colleagues from different countries and familiarize with the Polish culture.
The tour to one of the medical universities in the Polish capital, Warsaw, might also be added in the agenda.
The draft of the Erasmus+ Learning Agreement for Traineeship is prepared for you and you can claim it at k.zielinska@niemusibolec.com. You can take the course within Erasmus+ Short Mobilities.
The fee for the Training Week is 400 EUR. In order to receive the Erasmus+ grant, you should contact the Erasmus+ Office at your institution and express the interest in student mobility for traineeship/short mobilities. You should receive 79 EUR per day for your mobility so if you go for 5 days + 2 days for travel it should be 553 EUR. In addition, there is a lump sum for travel, based on the distance calculator, usually between 275 EUR and 360 EUR.
“It Does Not Have to Hurt” Foundation has several goals but one of them is to educate about pain relief. This topic is still often neglected, downplayed, and marginalized. Medical professionals in their training do not receive comprehensive, modern knowledge about acute and chronic pain, and patients do not know that pain can and should be treated. That's why we educate and want to do it on an even larger scale.
“Straight into Pain – pain management course” will be conducted predominantly by Anna Lotowska-Cwiklewska, MD, Specialist in Anesthesiology and Intensive Care as well as a home hospice physician. Her greatest professional passion is pain management. In addition, she holds the prestigious European Diploma in Pain Medicine (EDPM), a certification shared by only two other physicians in Poland. Anna Lotowska-Cwiklewska continuously expands her knowledge and refines her skills in pain treatment by participating in courses, congresses, conferences, and workshops. She is currently a member of IASP, EFIC, ESAIC, and PTAiT. In her practice, she utilizes a multidisciplinary approach to pain management, including pharmacology, interventional techniques (pain blocks), and botulinum toxin. She also works closely with the Outpatient Clinic team.
