Summer Portuguese Intensive Course

Due to the covid-19 outbreak, all programmes for 2020 have been cancelled.

This course offers training in Portuguese as a Foreign Language at the A1 (beginners), A2 (elementary), B1 (intermediate I) and B2 (intermediate II) levels of the Common European Reference Framework for Languages (CEFR).

The objectives of the course are, firstly, to provide the tools learners need to overcome linguistic barriers and to improve their Portuguese communication and interaction skills and, complementarily, to stimulate their knowledge of Portuguese culture and Aveiro’s own (summer) sports activities (surfing course, in different course options).

The teaching component will over a number of domains – language, culture, industry, tourism, architecture, history, sports, etc. – with the aim of facilitating participants’ later integration into workplaces and Portuguese society as a whole.

Target group

Any adult foreigner (for whom Portuguese is a foreign language) can apply to the 4SPIC course, whether or not they are resident in Portugal, as may mobility students (Erasmus+ Exchange Students), whether or not linked to the UA.

Course aim

The sharing of linguistic, cultural, sporting and societal knowledge and training will help broaden personal and professional horizons and open up new opportunities, particularly for any future mobility students at the University of Aveiro (UA).
