Summer School Bone, Joint & Tendon Care

About

The summer school BJ&TC will be hosted by the University Medical Center Groningen (UMCG) and the medical faculty of the University of Groningen. The educational program will include interactive lectures and workshops by specialist doctors from the departments of orthopedic surgery, traumatology, sports medicine and rehabilitation medicine. The main themes in these lectures will be:

• Fractures and surgical repair

• Sports injuries

• Joint wear and replacement

• Rehabilitation

There are going to be interactive workshops where the knowledge learnt during the lectures will be put into practice through anatomical dissections as well as an introduction to plastering and suturing to name a few!

Besides the educational program we will also provide a strong social one with many activities to ensure a week of fun! You will get to know the other international participants both inside and outside the hospital. We will share lovely meals in the city center and experience Dutch culture at its finest both in Groningen and in Amsterdam where we will spend two days at the end of the week!

Target group

(Para) medical students with an interest in orthopedics, trauma surgery and sports medicine. (BA/MA/PhD/Postdoc/Practitioners)
