The University of Almeria (UAL) has more than 25 years of experience in protected horticulture, especially in soilless and hydroponic growing systems, as well as in fertigation and sustainable production with zero waste. It is a worldwide reference in clean and environmentally friendly agricultural systems, and leads international projects in protected horticulture agroecosystems.

3. Learning strategies and techniques to make the protected horticulture agro-ecosystem as competitive as possible.

4. Learning and using commercial climate control and fertigation softwares.

5. Visiting commercial installations of protected horticulture in the Mediterranean slope.
