A two-week long, intensive study abroad programme.
The Acropolis Restoration Summer School is organized by the MA Program in Monument Management: Archaeology, Urban Planning and Architecture, offered by the University of Athens in collaboration with the Universities of Patras and the Aegean. For this new venture, the Program joins forces with the Committee for the Conservation of the Acropolis Monuments, a world leader in the preservation and enhancement of classical heritage. Hands-on instruction and training will be provided by expert staff from the Acropolis Restoration Service.

We welcome applicants from a wide range of backgrounds, including archaeology, architecture, history, classics, cultural management, museum and gallery studies, social anthropology, art history and cultural studies, both undergraduates and graduates.
Syllabus: this two-week long, intensive study abroad program offers at least 30 hours of in-class and on-site instruction as well as 25 valuable hours of hands-on practice in monument restoration, carried out in the actual workshops of the Acropolis Restoration Service based in Athens, Greece. The full syllabus will be available by 1st March 2019.
Fee
2000 EUR, Fees are inclusive of all fieldtrips, welcome and farewell receptions, as well as teaching materials and assistance.
