The Sorbonne Summer University is open to anyone aged 16 or over who wants to learn something new or improve their knowledge (minors must have parental permission). The course cycles are preferably aimed at people with a minimum of two yearsβ higher education.
The course is taught in French. A B1 level of proficiency is recommended according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, but no certificate is required.
The aim of this program is to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of the transformative impact of Artificial Intelligence on contemporary society. By integrating insights from history, philosophy, ethics, and the humanities, the course seeks to foster critical thinking about the social, cultural, and moral implications of AI. Participants will be encouraged to reflect on how technological advancements shape human values, institutions, and identities, and to develop the analytical tools necessary to engage responsibly with the challenges and opportunities AI presents for the future.
