The Lookout

About

The workshop is a hands-on carpentry and self-build laboratory dedicated to the collective design and realization of a lookout and social space in the municipality of Levice, Alta Langa. Participants will be involved in every phase of the process: from the analysis of the site and shared design through to the actual construction of the structure, which will remain in the area as a space open to the community.
The laboratory is dedicated to carpentry and woodworking: participants will develop skills in the use of hand tools and basic machinery, in the selection of materials, in the making of structural joints and in the assembly of timber elements, with a craft-based approach that focuses on quality and durability.
The project is part of a broader vision of rural regeneration, in which the active participation of both residents and visitors becomes a means of caring for the landscape and strengthening local identity

The laboratory is open to designers, architects, craftspeople, students and anyone who wants to learn to build with their own hands while making a concrete contribution to the life of a small community in Alta Langa
