The Magyar Nemzeti Bank (Central Bank of Hungary - MNB), along with Corvinus University offers you a 2-week-long academic and cultural possibility, in which we provide you not only academic lectures but case studies, interactive sessions, computer based classes, simulation games as well as company visits to various Hungarian and international companies as well (such as the Budapest Stock Exchange, Huawei Technologies, the Hungarian Investment Promotion Agency or the Audi Hungaria – among others). At the end of the first week the students will also take a cultural trip to Balaton, the largest lake and holiday destination in Central Europe.

Target group

The primary target group is bachelor and master level students in economics, international relations and finance. Nevertheless, students from other fields are also welcome to apply.

Course aim

The aim of the course is to provide a full picture on Hungarian and Central European economic, financial and political matters from global perspective. The specialty of the MNB Summer School lies in our teaching method: traditional sit-in academic lectures only constitute a small portion of the official program. We put large emphasis on interactivity: company visits, simulation games and case studies are important components of the course.
