“The Temple of Asclepius” project is an intensive, two-week educational program in Roman field archaeology. In course of this program, the students will take part in ongoing excavations of the Roman sacred place situated in modern South Bulgaria (the Roman province of Thracia). The program offers a combination of fifteen days of hands-on fieldwork and seminars devoted to small finds processing and archaeological illustrations. Students will visit as well some of the most popular sightseeing places in the region.

The aim of the course is to train students in the basic methods in field archaeology. Also, to continue the excavations of the largest sanctuary discovered in the Roman province of Thrace. Epigraphical monuments, the sculptor, etc., will probably be discovered. This will contribute to increasing the knowledge and skills of the participants.

1587 EUR, The Admission fee includes: educational and fieldwork activities, full-board accommodation (3 meals per day), tools, materials, issue of Certificate of Attendance, excursion/entrance fees, and administrative costs.
