About

The course will present an overview of available techniques in the domain of data and text mining. The course is separated into five main domains:
 General Introduction: Science II, Pattern Recognition, Data Visualization
 Access to Large-Scale Quantitative and Qualitative Data
 Basic Algorithms for Data and Text Mining
 Advanced Algorithms for Data and Text Mining
 Research Frontiers in Data Mining
The main goal in each of these five units is to provide a short theoretical background as well as a number of practical examples for the students which should be relevant for their future work in the field of data and text mining.
