Film & Theatre Summer Courses

Film and theatre are two dynamic disciplines of the performing arts, each with its own distinct characteristics yet interconnected by a shared purpose: to tell stories that resonate with audiences. Both art forms utilize narrative, character, and performance, but they do so through different mediums and techniques, reflecting the unique qualities and audiences specific to each medium. While theatre and film possess distinct characteristics, their intersection reveals a symbiotic relationship. Many successful films originate from theatrical scripts, and numerous actors transition between stage and screen, bringing their unique approaches to each medium. Adaptations, such as turning beloved stage plays into films or vice versa, allow for renewed interpretations that introduce the stories to new audiences.
