Information Technology Program (ITP) is a summer program that combines academic education and business projects into an intensive experience. The purpose is to provide students with a strong applied understanding of information technologies and the digital world. The program provides necessary concepts and approaches that enable students with diverse backgrounds to operate effectively in the global business environment. The program consists of three simultaneous tracks with different areas of concentration.


Students can participate in one of the tracks during the summer.


The tracks for ITP 2019 are:

Information & Service Business (ISB)

Strategy & Experience Design (SED)

Digital & Interactive Ecosystems (DIE)

Target group

Aalto University degree students, students applying under the JOO agreement, and exchange students from School of Business partner universities. Applicants must have at least 60 ECTS of the BSc degree completed when applying to the program.

Course aim

The Digital & Interactive Ecosystems (DIE) subprogram aims at providing students with an understanding of basic methods, techniques and tools for managing digital platforms and marketing strategies. This concentration area focuses on digital marketing platforms, content marketing, digitalization, monetization business models, hands-on-work using a variety of digital marketing, and analytics tools and strategic decisions related to digital marketing strategies.

Digital & Interactive Ecosystems courses follow a three week module structure, which helps to form different types of course contents while supporting the business project course work.

Digital & Interactive Entertainment (DIE) track includes the following courses:
* Digital Strategies (6 ECTS)
* Platforms and Ecosystems (6 ECTS)
* Web and Mobile Analytics (6 ECTS)
* Business Project (6 ECTS)

Information Technology Program (ITP) has three specialisation tracks. Each track (24 ECTS total) consists of four courses of which one is a business project course.

Fee info

EUR 0: TP studies are free for students. Aalto School of Business does not provide any scholarships or other financial aid for ITP studies. ITP will help students from other universities with finding accommodation, if needed. However, the student pays the cost of the accommodation.
EUR 2900: Tuition fee for students who are not enrolled degree students at Aalto University, do not study under other Finnish Universities, or come as exchange student from a partner school of Aalto University.
