The Faculty of Law at Justus Liebig University Giessen, the Marquette University Law School and the University of Wisconsin Law are looking forward to host students from all over the world for the 13th U.S.-German Summer Law School online. We offer four courses of which students can choose two:

- International Economic Law & Business Transactions

- Business Ethics and Human Rights Law

- Comparative Constitutional Law

- International Intellectual Property Law

The program combines high-quality teaching with a wide range of cultural and online social activities: During the four weeks, students will study in a familiar atmosphere and meet excellent lecturers and practitioners from all over the world. Besides, they have the opportunity to attend a German language course offered at beginner's level.

Course aim

We will host a four week online program. The courses will be hold in English and take place from Monday to Thursday, for 90 minutes each.

Course Hours: Monday-Thursday ( German time UTC +2)

At 3pm, there is

International Economic Law & Business Transactions (90min) and

Comparative Constitutional Law (90min)

And at 5pm, there is

Business Ethics and Human Rights Law (90min)

International Intellectual Property Law (90min)

7pm German Language Course

Note: Courses must be chosen so that they do not overlap.




Language course
An optional German language course on beginner’s level is also offered for free.

Fee info

EUR 800: 800 EURO for two courses. The price includes all course materials and a supplementary reading list.
