3D Printing in Pharmaceutics
The technique of the future, 3D printing, is gaining attention not only in the engineering industry but also in the field of pharmacy. This one-week course introduces students to different types of 3D printing technologies such as FDM, SLA, or SSE, and their possible usage in pharmacy.
Theoretical lessons will be followed by practical seminars. Students will even prepare a selected drug dosage form and evaluate it. Depending on the situation, the course will include an optional one-day tour to Prague with exceptional stops: one of the most known manufacturers of FDM printers called Prusa Research and an FDM-focused lab at UCTP or a similarly focused lab located at UP in Pardubice.
