This dynamic course aimed at practical analytical skills involves academic classes, practical exercises, active group work, guest presentations from practice and field trips. It is ideal for students studying international relations, politics, security studies or policing, criminal studies, international relations, history or international law. The programme is ideally located for students to be able to gain an overview and basic grasp of modern security analysis from a European regional perspective on both the military and non-military security threats to international security.

This programme includes 3-day excursions to Budapest, Prague and Vienna.

Target group

Ideal for students studying international relations, politics, security studies or policing, criminal studies, international relations, history or international law, however, anyone can apply.

Course aim

This program is designed to give students an understanding and experience of the application of key analytical approaches in international security as well as grasp their implications for the European and global security environment.
