language English
duration 2 weeks
credits 2 EC
fee EUR 650

The course is structured in three parts: First, it takes stock of existing definitions, basic notions and approaches to complexity. Second, general theories of systems, their types, modelling principles and transformation rules are discussed. Students are engaged into conducting basic analyses of case studies complexity, and skills to apply theoretical apparatus is trained. Third, students present their own analyses of a given system regarding the complexity phenomena.
