Carbon Fibers Reinforced Polymers for Advanced Applications

SMARTFAN project, funded by the European Commission under the Horizon 2020 programme, is organizing a Training School from the 27th to the 30th September 2021 entitled "Smartfan School on Carbon Fibers reinforced polymers for advanced applications". The school is addressed to researchers and professionals interested in the latest trends in advanced CFRPs manufacturing for innovative industrial applications. The event is free and it is possible to participate in two different ways: online, upon registration on the project website, and in-person at the Dallara Academy in Varano de 'Melegari (Parma - Italy). The event is co-organized by Warrant Hub, Dallara Automobili SPA and the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA).

Course aim

Smartfan School aims to contribute to improve the professional development of students and young researchers by providing information on the novelties of composite materials and their application in the industrial field. The school lectures and testimonials will come from high-level professionals and researchers; those who decide to participate in-person will have the opportunity to follow practical lessons and networking activities. The different activities include the visit to the Dallara company, an adventurous driving experience and the tour to the city of Parma, the Italian capital of culture 2021. So, not only lectures but also a lot of practice: the school program is designed to give participants practical notions and show how the results in laboratory can also be used by large companies in the production of innovative products.
