The Conductors' Academy focuses primarily on questions of interpretation, choral sound, intonation and the realisation thereof when conducting and rehearsing in a professional context. Particular attention is paid to baton-conducting and the individual "conductoral language" of the participants through individual conducting lessons with Prof. GrĂĽn, passive participation in the choral rehearsals and own conducting of the academy choir, the rehearsals of which are video-recorded and subsequently evaluated as part of the preparation of the candidate choral works for rehearsal and conducting.
o two hours of conducting lessons each day by Prof. Georg GrĂĽn (only for active participants)
o one hour of active work each day with the academy choir, shared between the four active conducting scholarship holders (only for active participants)
o up to four hours' passive participation in the choir rehearsal each day under the direction of Prof. Georg GrĂĽn
o large concluding concert to be recorded by Saarland Broadcasting Corporation – SR
The Conductors’ Academy will work closely with the Choral Academy headed by Prof. Georg Grün.
Active participants agree to conduct the final concert if selected by the artistic director to do so. No right to conduct exists.

The Conductors' Academy is aimed at:
o conducting students and young conductors interested in completing a continuing-education course in choral conducting
o church musicians, school musicians, amateur choir conductors
The Conductor's Academy will conclude with a concert by all the participants to be recorded by Saarland Broadcasting Corporation – SR (only for selected active participants)
Fee
100 EUR, Enrolment fee: € 100 (includes the cost of music scores and of a daily hot lunch as well as coffee, tea and bottled water for the entire duration of the Academy)
