Lectures, case studies and workshops about consequences of war crimes from a historical and legal perspective. We will look for answers to the following questions: How does war begin from the position of international law? Who is responsible for war crimes? What were the Nuremberg and Tokyo trials of war criminals like? Will those responsible for the Russian aggression against Ukraine be judged? What does the International Criminal Court do?
The Centre is a Polish public institution, operating under an act of the Polish Parliament of 2011. The Centre has repeatedly unequivocally condemned Russia's occupation of Crimea, Donbass and, since 24 February 2022, Russian’s full-scale war against Ukraine. The Polish Parliament is currently working on changing the name and mandate of the institution.
