Digital Twin Engineering

About

Digital twins open up many new avenues for developing interdisciplinary systems. A digital twin is a model that does not just represent a system but makes out an integrated part of that system, constantly interacting with it in real time. Digital twin engineering means to develop and manage a system and its model hand in hand at the same time throughout the entire life-cycle, from design up to and including operations.

This summer school provides with students hands-on experience in digital twinning by actually making one for a logistic transport system and exploring its wider applicability.
At the HU, this summer you experience a Digital Twin learning environment focusing on city logistics in our "Digital Engineering Exploration Lab". We will use it, explore its design and work on further improvements! Furthermore, we will organize guest lectures focusing on different applications of digital twins, or specific aspects. For example, ethics in the development of Digital Twins or how to share data effectively
