The specialized topic varies from year to year and reflects contemporary areas of state-of-the-art research and major policy interest.

The topic of the 2025 Advanced Summer School in Economics and Econometrics is "Empirical Models of Demand and Entry in Industrial Organization" and the instructors are Frank Verboven, Professor of Economics, KU Leuven, and Christos Genakos, Professor of Economics, University of Cambridge.
