Geological Field School

About

The UniLaSalle program offers international students the chance to engage in geology fieldwork in France, working alongside faculty members and graduate students in the geology department. This collaborative approach to learning, known as peer teaching, provides a unique opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience and apply their knowledge in a real-world setting.

Target group

Geology majors: juniors and seniors

Course aim

1. Hands-on geological exploration in small groups.
2. From classroom instruction to field work :
- sequence stratigraphy with a transect of the Alps
- geological mapping
- petrography
