International Relations and Threats to Global Security

About

Running for its 8th year, this course focuses on the European responses to global security. Students study study various forms of security threats (energy, cyber, military, etc.) from experts in the field, and analyze both European and global responses to specific security threats around the world. Past case studies have focused on Ukraine, Belarus, Libya, and Syria.

Located in Brno, Czech Republic, one of the metropolis of Central Europe, a region that witnessed both world wars and the cold war, Masaryk University's professors share a wealth of academic and personal history on the topic. With today's current war in Ukraine, this is even more so, as the region grapples with offering support to Ukraine and its refugees.
