The course is case-driven and is designed in two parts: the first week, you will discover and develop the basics of storytelling and learn to write persuasive copies for different channels. The week is a blend of theory (the 5 C’s of storytelling, analysis of research such as Mark Edwards’ Best story wins, Kindra Hall’s Stories that stick and others) and practice: you will work on copies, short scripts and storyboards. Diversity in storytelling leads to innovation and better problem-solving. Learn to captivate your audience, build trust, and drive results through compelling narratives.
In the second week, you will learn about the fundamentals and historical evolution of data visualisation as a storytelling tool. You will learn to select and apply effective visualisation techniques to transform complex data. You will practise integrating design principles for clear and impactful visuals, making them more persuasive and actionable, and crafting compelling narratives. As you advance, you'll explore AI-driven tools and cutting-edge technologies to enhance your visual stories. The course culminates in applying your skills to real-world projects, developing and presenting data-driven stories while reflecting on the broader impact of (data) storytelling in business.
