European Public Law

About

Founded in 1995, the Academy is the oldest and most esteemed educational establishment of the “European Public Law Organization” (EPLO). The EPLO is an international organization that aims to create and spread knowledge in areas of public law, the rule of law, and good governance. Thus, the establishment of the Academy of European Law was for this very educational purpose. The Academy holds each summer, 3-week study sessions in Greece, where participants have the opportunity to take part in an intensive course program all while enjoying the summer breeze by the sea.
The Academy's 2025 session consists of 2 general courses, 2 special courses, guest lectures, debate sessions, field trips, cultural visits and other social events. The final session takes place in Sounion, where students participate in the Annual Reunion of the European Group of Public Law.

This year's general theme will explore the topic of "Security and Defense in Europe” and “Judicial Review for Administrative Decisions”

Course leader

The European Public Law Organization (EPLO) is an International Organization with headquarters in Athens, Greece. Today, 14 states, 6 public authorities and 76 universities are part of its network.

Target group

This program is intended for applicants who hold a bachelor’s degree in law, Political Science, European Studies, International Affairs, or related fields, possess strong English language skills for active participation, and demonstrate solid academic performance and promising career potential.

Course aim

The Academy offers 3-week summer study sessions for those interested in furthering their knowledge in Public Law studies and delving deeper into the new discourse on migration issues and global rule of law crises.
