This is a presential course taught presentially, where compliance with the sanitary measures and the development of the courses in a safe environment are guaranteed.

The course has three branches:

1. Propaedeutics:
a) Comediants inventors of a new language: daily sessions of 1 1/2 hours.
b) Analysis of the scenic arts used from Comediants in their urban and outdoor shows.

2. Process of creation of an urban Performance: The ages of life. Daily sessions of 2 ½ hours of collective physical work with a final performance to present in an urban space.

Target group

The UAB Barcelona Summer School is open to standing local and international undergraduates and graduates students. International students who have been accomplished the first year of their undergraduate or at least the 50% of their first year credits at their home university could also be enroled at the programme. A working knowledge of the language instruction is highly recommended.

Course aim

The main objective is to teach the participants tools to understand the different aspects of artistic creation and scenic art in public spaces. Urban Performing Arts is a mostly practical course for which attendance is required each day, in order to realize a final live and direct street performance.

Credits info

6 EC
All subjects are accredited with 6 ECTS (European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System) that your university might transfer to you own degree programme (depending on your home university’s regulations), especially if it has a mobility programme in place with the UAB.

Fee info

EUR 850: The course fee for international and national students (non-UAB students) is € 850 but those who register before April 30 will get 20% discount.

Scholarships

Students from the ECIU consortium university could get a full scholarship if they enroll in this course.

No but there is 20% discount on the tuition fee if prospective students register before April 30th.
