Design Thinking for new Entrepreneurship

Would you like to start your innovative company using the design approach as a competitive advantage?
Would you change the world creating innovative sustainable products and services that meet the new needs of people boosting the new experience of use and interaction?
Enroll in the Italian Summer Academy to understand how the design approach can support and drive the early stage of a start-up company. You will study theories and practices of design thinking you will match with trends in ICT sector and knowledge in entrepreneurship. You will learn how to approach the business model generation using design thinking and design management tools.

Since 2014 this Summer Academy is organized by the Department of Design of Politecnico di Milano. As a part of European CREA Network the best teams of the Summer Academy will be invited afterwards to compete in the international CREA Business Contest!

You can apply for the CREA Summer Academy as an individual or with your recently formed (early stage) start-up team. Individual applicants form their start-up team during the course or can join and complement an already existing team. If you apply with a team, we expect you to be open to work with other students who can complement your team with knowledge and expertise that you need for your start-up.

Course aim

Crea summer academy provides an all-round training, which takes participants from an idea, via the identification of market opportunities, to conceptualization and planning and finally to the start-up of a new company.
Our practice-based approach will give you a very good insight in being an entrepreneur, learn about theories and practices of design thinking, business modeling, team building, innovation, customer validation and creative processes. Moreover, you will meet and work with like-minded people from all over the world and learn how to work well together.
